The text you enter in a 2-way SMS is not case sensitive.

Console User SMS Commands

The following commands may be sent by Console Users.

Accept

The 'ACCEPT' command enables you to acknowledge an alarm for a single device by providing a unique code that identifies the alarm. Acknowledging the alarm suppresses any reminder alerts that may be configured for the alarm. SMS 'ACCEPT' followed by the alarm code.

ACCEPT <Alarm Code>Replace <Alarm Code> with the 4 digit number provided in the alerts sent for the alarm you wish to acknowledge.
<Account Nickname> ACCEPT insert as above...If you are a User that belongs to multiple accounts, please provide the account nickname for which you are acknowledging an alarm. Enter the account nickname before the 'ACCEPT' command.

Locate

The 'LOCATE' command will return the last known location of a device defined by a device name or device serial number (ESN) or device assigned worker name, the last known location of each device in a group of devices defined by a device group name, or the last known location of all devices associated with a geofence.

SMS 'LOCATE' followed by the name or serial number of a single device, or SMS 'LOCATE GROUP' followed by the name of a device group, or SMS 'LOCATE GEOFENCE' followed by the name of a geofence.

LOCATE <Device Name>Replace <Device Name> with the name of the required device as created via the Tracertrak Console.
LOCATE <ESN>Replace <ESN> with the serial number (ESN) of the required device as created via the Tracertrak Console.
LOCATE <Worker>Replace <Worker> with the name of the worker assigned to the device.
<Account Nickname> LOCATE insert as above...If you are a User that belongs to multiple accounts, please provide the account nickname you wish to find devices from. Enter the account nickname before the 'LOCATE' command. This applies whether using a device name, serial number (ESN), or worker.

End

The 'END' command enables you to end an alarm for a single device by providing a unique code that identifies the alarm. SMS 'END' followed by the alarm code.

END <Alarm Code>Replace <Alarm Code> with the 4 digit number provided in the alerts sent for the alarm you wish to end.
<Account Nickname> END insert as above...If you are a User that belongs to multiple accounts, please provide the account nickname for which you are ending an alarm. Enter the account nickname before the 'END' command.

Message

The 'MESSAGE' command enables you to send a message to a 2-way capable device, if the user has both 2-Way SMS and Messaging permissions

MESSAGE <Device Name> : <message>Replace <Device Name> with the name of the required device as created via the Tracertrak Console.
MESSAGE <ESN> : <message>;Replace <ESN> with the serial number (ESN) of the required device as created via the Tracertrak Console.
MESSAGE <Worker> : <message>Replace <Worker> with the name of the worker assigned to the device.
MESSAGE GROUP <Group Name> : <message>The 'GROUP' keyword must be added before the device group name. 'GROUP' may be entered as 'GRP' to reduce the number of keystrokes required. Replace <Group Name> with the name of the required group as created via the Tracertrak Console.
MESSAGE GEOFENCE <Geofence Name> : <message>The 'GEOFENCE' keyword must be added before the geofence name. 'GEOFENCE' may be entered as 'GEO' to reduce the number of keystrokes required. Replace <Geofence Name> with the name of the required geofence as created via the Tracertrak Console.
<Account Nickname> MESSAGE insert as above...If you are a User that belongs to multiple accounts, please provide the account nickname you wish to find devices from. Enter the account nickname before the 'MESSAGE' command. This applies whether using a device name, serial number (ESN), group name or geofence name.

Help

SMS 'HELP' to receive a list of possible requests or SMS 'HELP' followed by a request command ('LOCATE', 'AROUND', 'ACCEPT', 'END' or 'ALARMS') to receive help with using that particular request.

HELPSending 'HELP' will return the list of possible commands for Tracertrak.
HELP <Command>Replace <Command> with the command for which you want assistance. A response will be sent explaining the information you need to provide with that command.
<Account Nickname> HELP insert as above...If you are a User that belongs to multiple accounts, please provide the account nickname for which you wish to make a 2-way SMS request and currently need help with. Enter the account nickname before the 'HELP' command. This applies whether or not you are adding a <command> after 'HELP'.
