Overview

For help with terms or definitions used in the Tracertrak Console, please read the Key Definitions.

The functionality of Tracertrak is divided between six or fewer main menu links. These links appear at the head of the application in the order shown below. Help for each associated page can be accessed from the list below or from the options presented beneath 'Functionality Pages' in the menu to the left.

Alarms:

The Alarms page is presented upon logging into Tracertrak. This will display the current alarms and recent console alerts for an account.

Map:

The Map page is where you map your Assets' locations, view broadcast detail and alarm status, and view alerts sent to you.

Messages:

The Messages page is a central control interface for 2-way communication across all devices that support 2-way messaging on the account.

History:

The History page enables you to look up locations, broadcasts, alarms, alerts and 2-way SMS from the last three months. The results can be printed for record-keeping or other purposes The History page contains the following secondary menu links:


Locations:

Search the history of locations broadcast by the account's Assets.

Broadcasts:

Search the history of broadcasts sent by the account's assets.

Alarms:

Search the history of alarms triggered by the account's assets.

Alerts:

Search the history of alerts sent to the account's Users by TracerTrak via SMS, the alerts window in the Console and email.

SMS:

Search the history of SMS requests made by the account's Assets and Users.

Messages:

Search the history of Messages sent and received by the account's 2-way capable devices.

Configure:

The Configure page is accessible by Administrators and console users with the appointed rights. The Configure page contains the following secondary menu links:


Assets:

View and configure the account's assets, acknowledge alarms, allocate devices, and create asset groups.

Devices:

View and configure indicators of device status.

Geofences:

Create geofences to generate alarms when Assets enter or leave defined areas.

Reports:

Create scheduled reports to periodically report on various route criteria for one or more assets.

Custom GIS:

Create Company Locations and manage map layers. Company locations may be used for commonly used or important addresses that are shown on maps and for identifying asset locations. Custom map layers can be used as custom map overlays.

Profiles:

Create Profiles to store a template of response behaviours for incoming messages, assignable to personal tracking devices (only).

Routes:

Create Journeys and Routes, a geospatial construct that an asset is expected to follow, in order to produce various reports.

Personnel:

Create Personnel, to create a person who may be allocated to a personal tracking device.

Administer:

The Administer page is accessible by Administrators and console users with the appointed rights. The Administer page contains the following secondary menu links:


Users:

Create, view and edit users of the account.

General:

Only accessible by the Administrator. View company details, the Account Administrator details (e.g. contact details) and the default system settings (e.g. the default user's timezone). From the General page, the administrator can also access the billing interface.

Preferences:

View and edit your personal details and display preferences.

Add new attachment

Only authorized users are allowed to upload new attachments.
