Configure: Reports

The Configure: Reports tab enables you to view and edit existing scheduled reports, and create new scheduled reports. Reports can be configured to send you detailed data, including the route status of a device, the idle time an device spends at a company location, and the departure and arrival transit of a device at selected company locations. Reports are delivered in CSV format by email to configured recipients.

Report Types

The following report types are configurable in Tracertrak:

Location Status Report This report will show the current status of selected devices that last reported from the selected Company Locations. No Company Location, Device Name, Route Direction, Active Alarms, Arrived at Location, Days at Location
Route Movements Report This report will list devices that have "departed" or "arrived at" a selected Company Location Yes Company Location, Departed/Arrived, Device, Timestamp
Idle Performance Report This report will show performance data based on statistics collected for selected devices that spent time at a selected Company Location during the report period Yes Journey, Company Location, Device, Days at company location, Allowed time at company location, Time at location as percentage, Completed journey count
Journey Performance Report This report will show performance data based on statistics collected for selected devices that completed the selected journeys during the report period Yes Journey, Device, Time to complete, Allowed time to complete, Time to complete as percentage
Usage Report This report shows the accumulated usage readings for each selected device for each day across the specified reporting time window. The daily usage is calculated as the difference between successive reported accumulated values. This report expects accumulated usage readings to be communicated on a daily basis to Tracertrak. Runtime Report This report shows the accumulated usage readings for each selected device for each day across the specified reporting time window. The daily usage is calculated as the difference between successive reported accumulated values. This report is optimised to display accumulated usage readings that are provided on a daily basis to Tracertrak. An average daily usage is calculated based on the accumulated difference divided by the number of days between accumulated usage readings.
Accumulated Usage data and Daily Usage data are presented for each device in bar charts.

Accumulated Input Statistics Report This report will produce a CSV file which contains the daily accrued values for a device input across a specified numbers of days for a specified set of devices. The daily accrued values are determined by the maximum recorded value for that day less the maximum recorded value for the previous day. This report provides a fast and easy way to evaluate the runtime performance of many devices over many days. Period statistics are incorporated in the end columns to help identify anomalies. Alarm Statistics Report This report will produce a CSV file which contains the daily occurrences of an Alarm. Currently this report is limited to the Low Battery Alarm, but can be extended to additional alarm types in the future. If a Low Battery alarm is active on a day within the reporting period, the value for that day will be a 1. Otherwise, no value will be recorded. This report provides a fast and easy way to determine when Low Battery Alarm's occurred across many devices over many days. Yes Device, Reported Dates, Days Active, % of Days Active

Route State

Reports can identify an device's status in relation to their corresponding route. Routes can be created from the 'Routes' tab of 'Configure' (Configure - Routes). The route state per device may report one of the following:

  • "At Location" - The device last reported from inside the boundary of a company location that forms part of a route.
  • "En Route to Location" - The device is within a geofence allocated to a route and has moved in the direction of one company location in the route.
  • "Off Route" - The device is not reporting from inside a company location or from within the geofence allocated to a route.
  • "Pending" - The device is within one or more geofences allocated to routes, but has not reported with sufficient data to determine which direction it is heading in.

Scheduled Reports

The 'Scheduled Reports' table lists all the scheduled reports created for your Tracertrak account, showing their name, activity, type, when the report was last sent and when the report is next expected to be sent.

The 'Active Report' field identifies whether the scheduled report is 'active' or 'inactive', symbolised by the presence of the icon . Inactive scheduled reports are indefinitely suspended from being sent. The report can be activated/deactivated via the buttons explained below.

To sort the table by a specific column, click on the column's heading.

Create New Scheduled Report



Clicking this button will open a pop-up window, which will enable you to define a new scheduled report. Go here for more specific help with creating a new scheduled report.

Delete a report



Clicking this will display a confirmation message, enabling you to confirm the permanent deletion of the scheduled report from the account.

Edit a report



Clicking this button will open a pop-up window, which will enable you to edit the individual scheduled report. Go here for more specific help with editing a scheduled report.

Activate or deactivate a scheduled report



These buttons enable you to activate (button with tick) or deactivate (button with cross) the scheduled report. Deactivating the report indefinitely suspends the sending of the report until the report is reactivated. Upon reactivating the scheduled report the report will resume sending according to its schedule.

Run Report Now



Clicking this button will immediately process the selected report and email it to the configured recipients. For report types that do not require a reporting period, a confirmation message will be displayed before processing the report. When generating reports with a reporting period, an additional interface will be displayed, allowing for the report period and report end date and time to be entered. Click the button to select a date on which to end the report. The report period can have a maximum value of 90 days, 12 weeks, or 3 months, and the end time can be up to 1 hour ago.
